A teacher in search of his/her own freedom may be the only kind of teacher who can arouse young persons to go in search of their own.

-Maxine Greene

Emily started her Teaching Artist Journey in NYC as a 2014 William R. Kenan Fellowship Dance recipient with Lincoln Center Education.

In the studio and classroom, you will find Emily sharing her wide range of dance styles while instilling skill sets for dance making, story telling and empathy building.
Emily holistically guides each student into their own natural discovery of movement and inner confidence, meeting them where they are in their bodies and relationship to movement. It her her mission to guide students to discover their own unique power to share their stories. Within this framework, the students gain a deeper trust in their choices and develop empathy, leadership and collaboration skills within themselves and with others.
